Access to Banco Galicia's digital channels increased 90% in the last year

Half of that growth occurred in the last two months, Ezequiel Valls, manager of Retail Banking Segments at Banco Galicia, told Convergencialatina. Regarding the number of transactions, the increase was 30%, with a marked rise in electronic transfers: only in May they rose 90% compared to the first quarter of 2020, because customers resorted to this option for daily payments and of low amounts under quarantine.

The growth engine is the App Galicia, which at the end of May exceeded one million active users. Currently 70% of accesses to digital channels correspond to this mobile app and 30% to the web, when a year ago the proportion was 60% and 40%, respectively.
