By month-end, first draft of cybersecurity policy to be presented.

This was reported yesterday by the Undersecretary of E-Government and Civil Registry, Marco Sancho, who presented the work of the Ministry of Telecommunications and the Information Society (MINTEL) to consolidate the digital transformation during a virtual event. In relation to cybersecurity, he explained that the Ministry of Defense asked MINTEL to draw up an integrated policy, with the contribution of other Executive institutions. "This Policy aims to generate capacities to guarantee the right of citizens in cyberspace", he commented.

It works on several pillars: cybersecurity governance, computer systems, information and incident management, protection of essential services infrastructure, culture and education of cybersecurity, international cooperation, among others.
