Last week, the Permanent Consultative Committee II - Radiocommunications (PCC II) of the Inter-American Telecommunication Commission (CITEL) met in the Colombian city of Barranquilla with the aim already set in the 5G bands that will be defined in the next WRC-19. Apart from the controversies in low bands that constantly encourage the PCC II, the Barranquilla meeting began to take note of the status of the high bands - above 24 GHz - and even with references to "ultra high" bands that are not contemplated but just with brief references in the ITU Radio Regulations.
