In July regulator gave Arsat US$20 million and US$22 million from Universal Service to BICE

The flow of money from the Universal Service trust fund to Arsat coffers follow. Just during July, the Ente Nacional de Comunicaciones (Communications Authority) approved payments of US$20,136,287. At the end of the month, Resolution 2988 stated to draw up to US$22 million to the Investment and Foreign Trade Bank for subsidized loans for the reduction of interest rates on loans to SMEs for the updating of infrastructure and fiber to the home. In July, 17 Non-Renewable Contributions were granted for a total of US$2,191,573; thirteen of these beneficiaries are cooperatives, two SMEs and two individuals.
