Public consultation on Spectrum Plan with long-term objectives opened

ICT Secretariat of Argentina presented medium and long term guidelines to address future spectrum allocations in an orderly manner. It set the tender for bands for 5G by 2020-21. It will also consult the market about the priorities of actions in middle and millimeter bands, shared use for IoT, secondary market and shutdown of 2G and 3G networks.

Yesterday the Setic presented two documents, the first with the guidelines of the medium and long-term plan to address the future spectrum allocations, which sets for 2020-21 the tender of the bands for 5G, and another one with questions for the market to indicate the priorities of actions on issues such as middle bands and millimeter bands, shared use for IoT, secondary market and shutdown of 2G and 3G networks..
