Federalism is the great challenge to surpass in terms of digitization of health in Argentina: the care services and the information systems behind - in those cases in which they were implemented - were developed "as it could" and in a fragmented and uneven between public (national, provincial, municipal), private and social work centers. In 2018, the first steps were taken for a Digital Health Strategy, with a Ministry of Health that would be the director of the information systems, and under two conditions: the mechanisms to be set did not have to impose anything in a mandatory way on establishments; and the lack of infrastructure and connectivity prevailing in the sector should be taken as a basis.
