Une-EPM was launched as Tigo's MVNO to offer mobile Internet

Une-EPM Telecomunicaciones was launched as Tigo's mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) and it began offering Mobile Internet. Initially, the service will be provided in Medellin, Cartagena, Bucaramanga, Barranquilla, Bogotá, and Cali, even though it is planed to reach the whole country in the medium term. John Jairo Marín, the company's vice president for Homes, explained that in the beginning the mobile Internet service will be offered separately, although it will be charged in the same telephone, television, or fixed Internet bill, if the client already has an account with those services. However, the company's idea is to offer 'quintuplay': telephone, fixed Internet, and mobile services, long distance calls, and subscription television. The executive even pointed out that the company is working in developing applications on the new service's platform, such as IP voice (Internet calls). Une-EPM is also a virtual operator in Spain, with the brand Orbitel, through Vodafone's networks.
