América Móvil revenue grew 7.9% in Colombia and Panama

According to America Movil's financial report for 2010, revenues from subsidiaries in Colombia and Panama grew 7.9% during the year, reaching US$ 3.84 billion. The company reported increased revenues in both the mobile segment (+7.9%) as in fixed lines and other businesses (+8%). EBITDA was US$ 1.784 billion, adding a 13.4% rise and operating income grew 5.5% yoy to US$ 1.018 billion.

At the end of December, América Móvil mobile users in Colombia and Panama totaled 29.4 million, implying a 5.8% growth compared to 2009. As for fixed line access, the company reported 3 million revenue generating units (RGU); meaning, 8.5% more than a year ago. Total accesses in Colombia amounted to 32.4 million.
