The 35.48% of Grupo TV Cable which remained in state hands, after the seizure of assets to Grupo Isaías, was acquired by the Costa Rican Hersalbar Holding S.A.; as a result, is 100% private again.

Grupo TV Cable president, Jorge Schwartz, in dialogue with Convergencialatina dismissed rumors circulating in Ecuador, which indicated that Hersalbar belongs to Telefónica. "The entry of Hersalbar will  improve the situation for TV Cable, since that the participation of the State for three years, was political and passive, which generated uncertainty," said the executive. The rest of the shares of TV Cable is owned by the Eljuri group.
