SUBTEL awards Globalsat a 30-year mobile-satellite concession

The Department of Telecommunications (SUBTEL) has awarded to Globalsat Chile a license for Mobile Satellite Services for a period of 30 years. Globalsat Chile is part of the group Globalsat Latam and will use services of Inmarsat and Iridium satellite constellations. The operator will aim to ensure mission critical communications anywhere in the country, even under earthquakes or emergencies.
