Tv signals not to appeal digital television regulation

The president of the Asociación Nacional de Televisión, Anatel (TV Association), ruled out the possibility for signals to file actions against the digital TV regulation after his meeting yesterday with the Minister of Transport and Telecommunications, Andrés Gómez Lobo. "We concluded that, for the sake of Chileans, we must join forces and get to work to build a comprehensive high definition television system from Arica to Punta Arenas", he said.

Minister Secretary General of Government, Alvaro Elizalde, and Javier Urrutia, CEO of La Red, among other personalities of the sector also attended the meeting. Gómez Lobo said the ministry will make an effort so that "more channels of Santiago and other cities may relay the America's Cup matches in HD".
