Personal will start commercial operations of its GSM/GPRS network

The mobile arm of Telecom Argentina will introduce the terminal P800 of Sony Ericsson for its GSM/GPRS networks. The launching sets the entrance of 2.5G technology in Argentine market, previous step for third generation. Sources in Personal pointed the launching of the said terminal will be an IT bet, rather than a search for enourmous turnover. Besides, the terminal has video player, personal assistant, high-speed Internet access via GPRS, and e-mail apps, and offers the possibility to open documents in Microsoft Office format. The GSM/GPRS network of Personal covers Capital Federal, and routes to locations such as San Isidro, Avellaneda, and Ezeiza.
