Gamacom hires Brightstar for WiMax infrastructure in the central region of the country

The distributor of Redline technology, the company Brightstar Corp.  and the operator Gamacom, partnered to deploy WiMax in the central region of Peru. The initiative will allow Gamacom to provide Internet, VoIP, video and data services to rural subscribers starting this month. The Peruvian government will contribute 70% of the project through the FITEL - Telecommunications Investment Fund-, and the total investment for the initial project reaches US$ 450,000. Moreover, the operator launched WiMax services in the town of Pasco last November 27.
