Guillermo Baistrocchi to occupy Enacom’s General Management and Raúl Martínez will head Arsat

The Minister of Modernization, Andrés Ibarra, increased his power in the ICT sector by designating two men from his environment. Guillermo Baistrocchi, current director of Institutional Relations of that portfolio, confirmed to Convergencialatina that "he was summoned" to occupy a new place in the structure of Enacom: as General Manager; I would take on functions next week. On the other hand, Raúl Martínez will serve as Transition Coordinator at Arsat, with functions as CEO. The current secretary of Digital Country of the ministry had arrived at the directory of Arsat in August of 2017.

In the National Communications Agency (Enacom), Baistorcchi will have among his functions "to coordinate activities", as commented to this publication, of the body chaired by Miguel de Godoy. Next week he would start his administration. Other sources foresee that the future General Manager will have his own structure under his charge of four officials who will be in charge of specific areas of the sector. A name mentioned is the current undersecretary of Technology and Cybersecurity of Modernization, José Hirschson Álvarez Prado.

On his part, Agustín Garzón, executive manager of Enacom, said he will remain in the body and confirmed that changes are coming but that Miguel de Godoy will continue heading the regulator. Although sources from Enacom circulated information about an upcoming exit of De Godoy.
