Internet Day 2018

Interconnection regulation to contemplate access to IXP

This was stated by the ICT secretary, Héctor Huici, during the opening event of the Internet Day organized by Cabase. The regulation would be approved this week and, as anticipated by Convergencia, will contemplate capacity interconnection, Internet traffic points (IXP), bilateral and multilateral agreements. On the other hand, faced with the claims of the sector, Huici also referred to the need to continue improving administrative procedures and reduce bureaucracy in proceedings. But he ruled out a reduction in taxes and fees. "Reality does not allow us to remove taxes", he said.
