Gelman will retire in September after eight years at the head of the company, but will continue as a board member. Sheffer currently serves as president of the global business: he has 28 years of experience in the software industry and held several management positions at Amdocs between 1986 and 2009, including the presidency of the emerging markets unit.
Amdocs also released its results this week for its fiscal third quarter, ending in June. Sales totaled US$1.000 billion - for the first time this figure was reached in just one quarter - which implies an increase of 3.7% compared to the previous year. The net profit was US$91.5 million, compared to US$119.3 million in the third fiscal quarter of 2017.
