The Chamber of Senators approved yesterday the law created by the Ministry of Information and Communication Technologies and establishes its Charter. The Mitic will unify which are now the former National Secretariat of Information and Communication for Development (Sicom) and the National Secretariat of Information and Communication Technologies (Senatics). The project had absolute approval, even from the senators who had criticized the initiative. The minister will be Alejandro Peralta Vierci, who was the head of the Sicom. As an objective, the new Ministry will become the technical entity and governing body of public policies related to communications and information technologies in Paraguay.
