The Communications Ministers of the BRICS member countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) committed to an increase in the broadband system to help reduce digital exclusion by around 40% and accelerate implementation 5G to offer high speed mobile telephony. These priorities are contained in the Declaration disclosed at the end of the meeting held in Brasilia.
The document indicates that the countries of that block live in situations of exclusion, especially by the large populations and territorial extensions of each member nation.
