The stock of notebooks is not enough to meet local demand

This was stated to Convergencialatina by Matías Plaul, Product Manager of ASUS in Argentina. The consumption of these devices in the country is around 30,000 to 40,000 per month, but it could even be doubled, if there were inventory. "We hope that devices will arrive from the third quarter to meet this demand. Today we are aligned with the availability of notebooks. What we have is sold”, he commented.

The first measure that Asus will implement in the face of this imbalance is to change sea freight for air freight, with which it could “earn” a month; and then, plan shipments in advance.

ASUS sales peaked at 400% from a typical week at the start of the quarantine. In the specific segment of gaming notebooks, demand doubled: the company imported 100 computers, which served to supply the local market for one month, and currently this period is reduced to fifteen days.
