Andicom2020 Live - Iván Duque: "Colombia will become the Silicon Valley of the region"

At the opening event of the Andicom2020 Live ICT Congress, the President of the Republic, Iván Duque, pointed out that two years ago the pathway was drawn to make Colombia the technological benchmark in Latin America. "All the actors, today more than ever, have a wonderful story to tell of a country that, even in difficult times, such as the pandemic, continues to embrace technology for its structural transformation", he said.

Finally, he indicated that “two years ago we said that we would advance in the reform of the legal framework for telecommunications and information. And now we have not only an approved ICT Law but we are also in permanent evolution and in the spectrum tender we have already awarded the lowest bands”.

This congress is attended by all the players of the ICT industry and for the first time it is held virtually.
