The plan announced by Microsoft called "TransformaChile #Reactivación Digital” (TransformaChile #Digital Reactivation) consists of four pillars, the main one being the installation of a data center region, with an income generation of US$11.3 billion in four years, 51,000 direct and indirect jobs and will accelerate digital transformation.
At the Palacio de La Moneda, President Sebastián Piñera received the announcement from Sergio Rademacher, Microsoft's representative in Chile. Several ministers were present, and, virtually, the president of Microsoft Corporation, Brad Smith, who from Seattle, in the United States, assured that it is the most important investment in the 28-year history of the company in Chile.
