Globo sells its minority stakes in Claro and Sky

From the end of 2020 to the beginning of 2021, the Globo Group developed various actions to dispose of its minority stakes (less than 5%) in Claro and Sky, as part of its transformation as a content production company and the pay TV market.

In Claro's case, the shareholding was a balance left from the sale of Net/Globocabo's operations to the Telmex group in 2004. As for Sky, the Globo group was the controlling company of that company until 2005, when it sold a large part of its stake to its partner Fox and then was left with residual stake when the merger with DirecTV took place.
