Federal Government’s exclusive network to cost US $ 614 million

The implementation of the exclusive network for the Federal Government will cost approximately US$ 614.4 million, in a period of 6 years, while its maintenance for 15 years will require around US$ 2.082 billion, according to a study made by Telebras for the Ministry of Communications, included in the 5G spectrum tender.

This network contemplates connecting more than 18,000 government points during a period of 6 years: 20% in the first biennium; 30% in the second and 50% in the last. For each point, 10 Mbps of Internet and 10 Mbps of connection to this exclusive network are foreseen and metropolitan networks will be implemented in the first 4 years.
