The equipment supplier presented its CMP-100 product within the framework of Grupo Convergencia event. It is an extension of digital video over ISDB-T-RF modulated (TDA), DVB-C (QAM) and CATV. Hugo Caudet, Product Manager of Viditec, disclosed alternative boxes for ISPs, both for those that operate as wireless or on FTTH networks, as well as for the world that still exists and is part of the reality of hundreds of cable operators, which still manage RF modulation, both analog and digital.
“Many cable operators are offering a premium HD-based programming schedule over set top boxes over FTTH or coaxial networks, and they offer a programming schedule that is generally absolutely analogous. And for some time now, basic digitally modulated programming schedule have become fashionable, in what is known as TDA modulation, which is ingested into the coaxial or FTTH without any problem”, explained Caudet.
