The laying, owned by Google and Antel, connects Santos (in Brazil) with Las Toninas (in Argentina), in an area of 2,000 kilometers. Telxius will thus have infrastructure on the Atlantic coast of Latin America, adding this capacity to that of the Brusa and Junior cables (the latter also of Google).
These three systems in turn provide redundancy to Telxius' SAm-1 submarine cable.
