There are two resolutions in the works. These are segmented increases for premium plans starting next month. The increases that companies billed in May will be without effect and those operators that collected them will face fines.
Enacom vice president, Gustavo López, confirmed the news to Convergencia, today but could not confirm whether the increase will be 4% or 8%, as published in a morning paper. He also said that they were waiting for the definition of the Chief of Cabinet. From Enacom officials added that the new measures would have an impact on fixed and mobile telephony, and broadband, but not on pay TV.
The announcements were scheduled for the last hours of last week but were delayed due to the emergence of the Justice's endorsement of the precautionary measure in favor of Telecom.
