After several months of waiting, the new company On*Net Fibra was presented in the country. Ximena Mora Méndez, CEO of the company, indicated that it "is presented as the largest open access FTTH network in Colombia." The start of operations took place specifically on January 11. The investment by 2024 will be US$211 million. .
Regarding the plans in this period, she stated that they have “a horizon of three years. In 2022 it will allow us to double the size of the network, from 1,200,000 to 2,300,000 homes passed with fiber, and expand our coverage from 31 to 40 cities in the country”.
Finally, she indicated that they will have "a direct plant of about 100 employees", while "indirectly, we will have a large workforce, generating about 4,000 employees through our contractors, crews and allies" .
