Distribution of TV kits for Ku band began in Brasilia

The Administrative Entity of the 3.5 GHz Band, Siga Antenado, began yesterday in Brasilia the distribution and free installation of satellite TV reception kits in the Ku band, to families registered in the social programs of the federal government included in the Single Cadastre.

Around 20 million families throughout the country received the free to air TV signal via satellite in the C band, which must now migrate to the Ku band in order to avoid interference in the 3.5 GHz band between that service and 5G.
