Bolivia and Mexico allied for exploitation of lithium

The governments of Bolivia and Mexico made an alliance between their state lithium companies, to work in a coordinated manner and manage a block between American countries for the exploitation of this mineral. Both countries plan to produce e-cars in 2023.

The agreements between both countries were reached at a meeting between Bolivian foreign ministers Rogelio Mayta and Marcelo Ebrard, who offered a press conference after concluding their meeting in the city of La Paz.

Mayta indicated that a cooperation program was renewed for the 2021-2023 period that includes eight projects in the areas of "energy, environment, agricultural development, health, justice and social protection."
