Digital America will be the meeting point for disruptive technologies

The 8th Technology and Business Congress - Digital America Mexico 2023 will take place on June 21 and 22 at the World Trade Center in Mexico City.

The eighth edition of the event will serve as a "meeting point" for discussions on innovation, digital transformation, IoT, 5G, Big Data, software, Cloud, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence, according to Lesley Robles, General Director of America Digital and Director of the 8th America Digital Mexico Technology and Business Congress.

The event will consist of three parts. Firstly, an exhibition covering over 20,000 square meters featuring technology providers that are "scarce in Latin America," as mentioned by Robles. The second part includes over 100 conferences structured in five specialized forums. These forums cover various topics such as multi-industry and digital transformation, where discussions on big data, cloud computing, and AI applied to different industries will take place. There will also be a banking forum, covering areas such as blockchain, cybersecurity, digital banking, and the fintech ecosystem. Additionally, there will be a forum focused on 5G for industries and telecommunications, featuring the Undersecretary of Telecommunications of Mexico, as well as key regional and local operators.

The third component of the event is networking, facilitated by a dedicated app that allows attendees to connect, filter by interests, and schedule one-on-one meetings. Specific areas within the World Trade Center (WTC) have been designated to facilitate these meetings.

According to Robles, the event expects to gather up to 5,000 C-level executives, particularly CIOs, CTOs, directors, and managers of digital transformation. The presence of operators such as América Móvil (Telcel and Telmex), AT&T, Telefónica, and Axtel has been confirmed. Major technology providers like Microsoft, Intel, AWS, Zendesk, Google Cloud, Huawei, Salesforce, Ericsson, Siemens, and Globant will also be participating. Additionally, audiovisual service providers such as Televisa and TV Azteca will be present.

With a specific focus on the Mexican and Central American markets, the congress will address one of the region's main challenges: the digital divide and technology assimilation. Robles noted that "the technology is available. The decision to adopt it or not is a matter of mindset and culture. We want to help facilitate that leap forward."
