Millicom announced that Mauricio Ramos will step down as CEO in 2024 to head the company's board of directors, following the resignation of President José Antonio Ríos García.
Ramos will assume the role of interim president until an annual general meeting to be held in May 2024, after which he is expected to step down as chief executive.
Ramos will then become CEO, subject to shareholder approval.
