Milei's government: the ICT sector, with divided competences

The first measures of the government of the new President Javier Milei were crystallized this Monday with the publication, in the Official Gazette, of Decree 8/2023 or "Law of Ministries", with the designation of nine ministers, the Chief of Cabinet and the General Secretary of the Presidency. In addition, it establishes functions and competences corresponding to each portfolio: those related to technology, innovation and telecommunications are concentrated in the Chief of Cabinet and the Ministry of Infrastructure. Both portfolios, together with the Ministry of Economy, will also be involved in the future of State-owned companies and possible interventions, closures, privatizations or dissolutions, among other figures included in the text.
