Claro and Tigo receive spectrum in medium and high bands

The Ministry of Information and Communications Technologies, through Resolution 485 of 2024, approved the granting of spectrum in medium and high bands to Claro and Tigo.

The bands are the SHF, in the range of 3.7 GHz to 23.6 GHz, and EHF, in the ranges of 71 GHz to 76 GHz and 81 GHz to 86 GHz.

The allocated segments are destined for “fixed radio services for operation through point-to-point communication links,” said the MinTic.
