Canalys: Samsung led global smartphone shipments in second quarter

The analysis firm Canalys reported that the global smartphone market grew “strongly” in the second quarter of 2024. Shipments reached 288.9 million units.

The market has grown for three consecutive quarters, driven by product innovation initiatives and improvements in trading conditions, Canalys noted.

The ranking was like this: Samsung maintained the first position with 53.5 million units shipped. They were followed by Apple (45.6 million units); Xiaomi (42.3 million); Vivo (25.9 million units); and TRANSSION (25.5 million).
