General International Telecom completes acquisition of IBW

General International Telecom, the company that acquired Telefónica's operations in El Salvador, completed the acquisition of IBW El Salvador as part of its expansion plans in Central America. The purchase is being completed after approval by the Superintendency of Competition last month.

GIT, through its CEO Luis Del Cid, said that this acquisition is aligned with its growth strategy in the Salvadoran market, offering innovative solutions to its users under the Movistar Empresas brand. With this operation, which is added to its entry into El Salvador in 2022, GIT strengthens its presence in the region and its offering of services in connectivity and cybersecurity.
