Megacable leads growth in fixed broadband, ahead of Totalplay and izzi

Megacable achieved revenue growth of 10.3% last year, driven by expansion into new territories and an increase in the number of subscribers.

Totalplay, for its part, recorded a 13% increase in its revenue, thanks to growth in the residential segment and an increase in the business business. In contrast, izzi recorded a 3.8% contraction in its revenue.

In the most profitable business today and in the future, fixed broadband, Megacable reported an annual growth of 11.6% in its accesses. Totalplay achieved an estimated increase of 9.3%, while izzi suffered a drop of 5.5%.

Totalplay and Megacable have strengthened their position, with investments of US$ 137 million and US$ 141 million, respectively, in the second quarter of 2024. Izzi invested US$ 67 million.

In proportion to each company's revenue, Totalplay has invested an average of 55.5% over the past four years; Megacable 37.1%; and izzi, with its new strategy, reached 30.8%.

The differences are also reflected in the EBITDA margins. Totalplay and Megacable recorded margins of 45.7% and 44.3%, respectively, in the second quarter of 2024, while izzi together with Sky already recorded 37.5%.
