President Luis Abinader appointed Juan Antonio Taveras Hernández as a member of the board of directors of the Dominican Institute of Telecommunications (Indotel) following the resignation of Príamo Rafael Ubiera on August 15. The new Indotel official was proposed by broadcasting service providers through a communication addressed to the Ministry of Economy, Planning, and Development (MEPyD) on August 29.
