ATVC International Conference 2024

Red Intercable anticipated the formation of Red+

Lucio Gamaleri, president of Red Intercable, explained it as “a project that seeks to consolidate the integration of SMEs within a collaboration scheme that amplifies their potential.”

The first stage of Red+, according to Gamaleri, will include joint investments between Red Intercable and the operators. “The objective is to revitalize companies that need development. We trust that Red+ will be the tool to achieve this. The synergy of all of us will be the engine that will lead our SMEs to be successful in the ICT world,” he stated.

In his presentation at the ATVC 2024 International Conference, the head of Red Intercable raised the central concerns of the sector. “Some provincial companies, responsible for regulating the rental of the poles that support our networks, are seeking excessive location conditions, without technical justification. We are concerned that some provincial Sapems, moving away from complementarity, intend to offer last mile services, in an asymmetric competition to the detriment of ICT SMEs that already operate in those areas."

And I conclude: “It is crucial that political agendas make us visible and promote mechanisms that facilitate financing to modernize our networks.”
