neXat refocuses: it moves away from managed services and offers OSS BSS for satellite sector

In an interview with Convergencia, Michel Dothey, co-founder and CCO of the firm, described the new direction, moving away from managed services. The shift in business to the LEO orbit led to a reduction in business in Latin America and other regions (neXat lacks operations in North America), so it decided to provide technological solutions to different markets. The first is OSS BSS and the satellite operator Arabsat, the latest development in this regard.

The Arab firm, with approximately six GEO satellites in operation, transitioned from marketing MHz to providing managed services, but to do so required service sales capabilities: a billing system, a ticketing system for technical matters, and the provision of portals. These services are now provided by neXat.

In parallel with the event in Washington, neXat was awarded "Teleport Technology of the Year" by the World Teleport Association (WTA). “neXat is the first satellite-specific OSS/BSS that successfully unifies the management of satellite communications services, clients, and networks into a single virtual platform. It seamlessly integrates operators' disparate operations centers, simplifying operations and unifying multiple operational and business support systems in one place to save them time and money. neXat can also be used to offer customers new and enhanced services, such as improved traffic shaping, bandwidth optimization, VNO services, and more,” the entity acknowledged.

Telefónica del Perú stated that the operational transition is guaranteed due to the continuity of its management team and access to fresh funds to sustain business operations.
