AT&T warned that there is a possibility it may not participate in the upcoming spectrum auction, known as IFT-12, which has been postponed for two years. This auction aims to allocate spectrum to operators for 5G deployment.
“With current spectrum costs, it is very likely that this auction will again go unsold, as happened in the last auction,” said an AT&T source, adding that it is also highly unlikely that AT&T itself would be interested in participating.
