It was led by Allianz X, the venture capital arm of German insurer Allianz. Its founder and CEO, Pierpaolo Barbieri, said the capital will be used to consolidate the financial ecosystem it offers in the different countries where it operates. The fintech has reached a market capitalization of US$3.2 billion.
