Chinese President Xi Jinping’s agenda in the United States will be marked by the technology debate. Xi will be accompanied by several Chinese technology leaders.
Xi will meet with US President Donald Trump next Thursday and Friday. The agenda includes issues such as AI safety, as US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said Sunday, noting that officials from both sides had already discussed the issue.
The backdrop includes Anthropic’s accusation that several of China’s best-known AI companies illegally used its Claude model and, in some cases, diverted confidential Chinese data to the platform.
