TIM and Qualcomm conducted tests using Wi-Fi 8-ready equipment at TIM Lab in Rio de Janeiro, using an architecture that combines Wi-Fi 8 and XGS-PON, along with residential network management and security functions.
One of the project’s priorities is to improve connection reliability, with enhancements to coverage, latency, spectrum utilization and performance in interference-prone environments.
