Anatel holds hearings on 6 GHz band tender

The Anatel will hold two public hearings in October to discuss the proposed rules for the auction of the 6 GHz band and other documents related to Public Consultation No. 37/2026. The hearings will be held in person in Brasília on Oct. 16 and São Paulo on Oct. 21.

The discussion covers the regulatory reorganization of the 6 GHz band, maintaining unlicensed use between 5,925 MHz and 6,425 MHz and allocating the 6,425 MHz to 7,125 MHz segment to IMT systems.

In addition to the draft auction rules, the consultation covers a proposal to amend the Regulation on Conditions of Use of Radio Frequencies and a technical and economic feasibility study on the obligations, commitments and consideration associated with the auction.
