Public consultation on regulatory simplification

The Communications Regulation Commission (CRC) has launched a sector-wide consultation to identify information reporting requirements that could be simplified, modified or eliminated as part of its simplification and deregulation strategy.

The consultation, the second phase of the "Comprehensive review and simplification of the information reporting framework" project, will allow telecommunications, free-to-air television and postal service operators to propose which reports should be eliminated, which reporting frequencies could be reduced and which data collection mechanisms should be modernized. Stakeholders may submit comments until November 23, 2026.
