The Transport and Communications Ministry (MTC) suspended the license of Panamericana Televisión (Pantel) for violating the Telecom Act. Authorities seized transmission gear in the station, while the Ministry started an administrative process and granted 10 days for Pantel to file counter-claims. Workers in the station staged a demonstration for the measure adopted. The MTC searched the premises, and found an extra link connecting Alejandro Tirado¿s firm and the transmission plant Morro Solar, for which it had no license. Entrepreneurs Ernesto Schütz Freundt and Genaro Delgado Parker, in charge of the channel, coincided in rejecting the measure, but crossed accusations for responsibility.
