Fibertel invested US$ 335,000 in security for users

The broadband ISP of Grupo Cablevision launched Fibersecurity, a pack of security services that include antivirus and antispam for mail boxes for clients, and the possibility to download Norton Security 2004 from the Internet. The software belongs to Symantec, firm with which Fibertel closed an exclusive deal. Fibertel spent over US$ 335,000 to offer new products for users and, different from other ISP, as Ciudad Internet, provision is for free. Investments will be devoted to hardware, Symantec licenses, and gear adaptability. Fibertel currently counts on some 100,000 clients in Capital Federal, Great Buenos Aires, La Plata, Rosario, and Cordoba. Before year-end, it plans to arrive in the cities of Zárate and Campana, among other destinations.
