Ricardo Terán designated as Andinatel president

The state telephony’s Stockholders Assembly has named its new company directors. Carlos Vera Quintana will be the administration president, likewise, Ricardo Terán will replace Ángel Carrión  in the executive presidency. The other administrative members are Cornelio Tamariz, Amílcar Padilla, Roberto Velasco and Daniel Rodríguez Terán.

On the other hand, telephony employees announced that they would take control of the Andinatel headquarters in protest of naming the new authorities. The designation took company personnel by surprise and the exiting president, Ángel Carrión. Company employees accuse Terán of having links to the Teleholding company, holding a lawsuit against Andinatel for US$ 44 million.
