Velconet launches new satellite broadband offers for agriculture

Velconet, company that provides broadband satellite Internet, has launched a special promotion for Agro-based Industries, offering their service at a cost of US$ 80 plus tax per month. Moreover, the company renewed the agreement to provide data, Internet and videoconference services to Consorcios Regionales de Experimentación Agrícola (CREA) throughout the country. Argentina’s agriculture growth, likewise in exports, provoked a cascade effect demanding communication solutions for the market. According to Agrositio, at the end of 2002 the amount of Internet clients within the sector increased from 42,914, to 61,330 in March 2004. At the moment, the market has already surpassed 85,000 clients, according to Velconet`s estimations.
