Telebucaramanga is already providing Internet wireless connection

Honorio Gálvis Aguilar, mayor of Bucaramanga; Martha Pinto de De Hart, minister of Communications; Alfonso Gómez Palacio, president of Telecom, David Carom, manager of Telebucaramanga, took part of the inauguration of the combined service of the Wi-Max link and Wi-Fi access of Telebucaramanga. According to publication Evaluamos, the system includes a Wi-Max between  two extreme points so that it covers the city, that feeds 16 Wi-Fi access, that at the same time  provides 90 secondary points. Telecom's president stated that the company is planning to invest US$ 20 million to provide the service in other regions of the country. Telecom is owner of 60% of Telebucaramanga.
